The standard 20" wheels on the Silverado High Country look way too similar to the Cobalt's steel wheel covers.
It's a shame because if you took out the smaller spokes, those would be some attractive 5 spoke wheels.

Except the truck ones look better because chrome.

Too overused on trucks lately.

I hate this trend. I'm also tempted to Dremel those smaller spokes out, even on the 5-spoke. I can see it being done easily on the hubcap though.

Yeah, trucks are becoming fashion statements. At least half tons are. Although for a fancy top of the line model it's not an issue. My grand fathers 3500HD has some nice Aluminium wheels. They're really heavy but they're really not bad.

It needs to die a quick death.

That's why I like Ram's. You can get them with absolutely no chrome. Also the guy that approved these was probably the same guy that approved the Cobalt ignition.

This trim level is writing checks the Silverado and GM in general aren't even almost trying to cash.

Oh yeah, definitely fashion statements.
I'd be scared to use either of those like a truck is actually supposed to be used.
Then again, both of those are in the $55-$60k range.

I don't think there's a single trim level on either GM truck that doesn't have chrome.

If you want a work truck a HD would be best anyway, those suspensions and frames are solid. Also you can put a lot of stuff in the bed and they'll still run really well.

Well, yes there is
I dont know if the wheels are crome or steel. But this one is a nice 2014 1500 Chevy Silverado with the 4.3L V6 4X4 mated to a 5 Speed Maual

I swore the back bumper on the 1WT was chrome, but it isn't.
So instead of chrome, we get plastic. Y U NO PAINT BUMPERS GM?

I have absolutely no clue! Plastic looks like a 40 year old beard that hasn't been shaved. But it isn't long, or wide, its just grown more and more dense every single year. Thats it, THATS the Chevy front.

Or a small diesel or some other interesting, Ford like not really more efficient gimmick engine.

I'm assuming he jumped ship from Ford after he approved these:

Because a painted bumper will look like utter shit after 2 hours of actual work truck usage. Not utilitarian enuff.
